Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve

Widely renowned as a fairy land, Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve is located in the Western mountains of Nanping County,Northern part of Sichuan. The name Jiuzhaigou means a valley with nine villages.rnIn 1978, the State Council approved to create a national reserve here, to protect the unique ecosystems and precious wildlife. In 1992, UNESCO accepted the reserve as a World Heritage Site.rnWith an area of 65.000 hectares, the altitude varies from 2.000 metres at the entrance to 4.700 metres at the highest peak. Some year - around snow covered peaks, along with diversified colours and looks of the forest in different seasons, present some of the most beautiful landscape in the world.
